Floyd T. Johnson was born on October 13, 1923, in Hermitage, Tennessee. He served in the 633rd Quartermaster Laundry Company during World War II. He was killed on December 1, 1944, in the bombardment on the coal mine terrain Julia, during the liberation of Kerkrade-Eygelshoven, The Netherlands. He was killed together with 16 soldiers and one civilian. PFC Johnson is now buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
