Earl A. Kilgo was born on July 25, 1923. He was the son of Frank O. Kilgo and Minnie L. Phillips Kilgo. He served in the 633rd Quartermaster Laundry Company during World War II. He was killed on December 1, 1944, in the bombardment on the coal mine terrain Julia, during the liberation of Kerkrade-Eygelshoven, The Netherlands. He was killed together with 16 soldiers and one civilian. PFC Kilgo is now buried in the Ryan's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Brushy Pond, Cullman County, Alabama, USA.
