Dalton W. Carr was born on May 19, 1922. He served in the 633rd Quartermaster Laundry Company during World War II. He was killed on December 1, 1944, in the bombardment on the coal mine terrain Julia, during the liberation of Kerkrade-Eygelshoven, The Netherlands. He was killed together with 16 soldiers and one civilian. PVT Carr is now buried in the Poplar Grove Cemetery, Drummonds, Tipton County, Tennessee, USA.
