Henry Bevis Leggett was born on January 25, 1923. He was the son of Oscar Parker Leggett and Ophelia Caroline Todd Leggett. Henry served in the 633rd Quartermaster Laundry Company during World War II. He was killed on December 1, 1944, in the bombardment on the coal mine terrain Julia, during the liberation of Kerkrade-Eygelshoven, The Netherlands. He was killed together with 16 soldiers and one civilian. Pvt Leggeet is now buried in the Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery, Glennville, Tattnall County, Georgia, USA.
