Daniel Heny was a 22-year-old prize master from Salem who served aboard the merchant ship Frolic. During the War of 1812, he was captured and held as a prisoner of war at Dartmoor Prison in Princetown, England. Heny died on January 25, 1815, with febris (fever) recorded as his cause of death. He was buried at the American Prisoner of War Cemetery in Dartmoor Forest, Devon, England.
