John R. Finnegan, aged 34 and married, served in the 2nd Air Refueling Squadron as a Corporal and Scanner on the KB-29P #44-83950 during World War II. He was killed in the crash of his airplane at Cairsphairn, Scotland, due to low clouds. His plane was on a routine navigational training flight from Lakenheath Air Base in the south of England to Prestwick. All 11 crew members aboard were killed. His current burial place is unknown.
