Wallace Lee Scott was born on January 14, 1925. He served in the 2nd Air Refueling Squadron as a Staff Sergeant and Boom Operator on the KB-29P #44-83950 during World War II. He was killed in the crash of his airplane at Cairsphairn, Scotland, due to low clouds. His plane was on a routine navigational training flight from Lakenheath Air Base in the south of England to Prestwick. All 11 crew members aboard were killed.

SSgt Scott is now buried in the Southview Cemetery, Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia, USA.
