Siegfried Carl Profe, aged 21, was born on September 15, 1922, in Coytesville, New Jersey. He enlisted on October 15, 1942, and served in the 705th Bomber Squadron, 446th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Staff Sergeant and Engineer of the B24 42-51116 'Nature's Nymph' in World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 7, 1944, when the aircraft he was aboard crashed into Rumburgh, England. He is now buried in the Winchester National Cemetery, Winchester, Winchester City, Virginia, in the same grave with three members of his crew.
