He served in the 330th Bomber Squadron, 93rd Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Sergeant and Ball Turret Gunner of the B24J #42-110033 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on March 29, 1944, when his airplane collided with the B24H #41-28590 and crashed into Henham, England while leaving for a raid over Germany. He is now buried in the Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, Queens County, New York, USA.
