Isaac Jones was a 24-year-old seaman from Boston who served aboard the merchant ship Harper. During the War of 1812, he was captured and held as a prisoner of war at Dartmoor Prison in Princetown, England. Jones died on January 23, 1815, with peripneumonia recorded as his cause of death. He was buried at the American Prisoner of War Cemetery in Dartmoor Forest, Devon, England.
