Thomas Jones was a 38-year-old cook from Baltimore who served aboard the merchant ship Impressed. During the War of 1812, he was captured and held as a prisoner of war at Dartmoor Prison in Princetown, England. Jones died on February 23, 1815, with phthisis recorded as his cause of death. He was buried at the American Prisoner of War Cemetery in Dartmoor Forest, Devon, England.
