Louis Larkin was a 24-year-old seaman from Connecticut who served aboard the merchant ship Young Wasp. During the War of 1812, he was captured and held as a prisoner of war at Dartmoor Prison in Princetown, England. Larkin died on September 30, 1814, with pneumonia recorded as his cause of death. He was buried at the American Prisoner of War Cemetery in Dartmoor Forest, Devon, England.
