Albert A. Albino was born on April 7, 1919, in Utah. He served as a First Lieutenant and Fighter Pilot of the P-38 #42-67051 'Spirit of Aberdeen' assigned to the 38th Fighter Squadron, 55th Fighter Group. He was Killed in Action on a mission when he was shot down by several enemy planes (ME-109) and crashed near Hoogeveen, Holland, on November 29, 1943. He was listed as Missing in Action as his body was not found at that time. After 35 years, his remains have been recovered and identified. His remains are now buried in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA. His name is permanently inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, United Kingdom.
