Charles Edward Beall was born on November 23, 1920, in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. He was the son of William Alexander Beall.

Charles served in the 338th Fighter Squadron, 55th Fighter Group, as a First Lieutenant and a Fighter pilot. He was Killed in Action on November 23, 1943, when his aircraft (P38 42-67049) was attacked and shot down by German fighters near Furstenau, Germany while escorting B-17s attacking at Bremen, Germany.

1Lt Beall is now buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
