Richard Miller was a 26-year-old seaman from Pennsylvania who served aboard the merchant ship Snapdragon. During the War of 1812, he was captured and held as a prisoner of war at Dartmoor Prison in Princetown, England. Miller died on November 20, 1814, with peripneumonia recorded as his cause of death.
