Rocco R. Brangiforte was born on March 10, 1919, in Boston, Massachusetts. He served in the Headquarters, US Air Force, Mediterranean, as a Sergeant and Machine Gunner on the B-25 #43-3450 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on February 6, 1945, when his airplane crashed in the woods near Chatel-Montagne in France. His flight has originated in Italy, and around 2:30 PM, his aircraft experienced mechanical failure leading to a crash. All men aboard the plane were killed in this incident.

Sgt Bangiforte is now buried in the Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.
