Stanley M. Reisenburger was born in 1924 in New York. He was the son of Max Reisenburger, who resided in Brooklyn, New York.
Stanley resided in Kings County, New York, prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army on February 24, 1943, in New York City, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Machinist and also as Single, without dependents.
Stanley served in the 860th Bomber Squadron, 493rd Bomber Group, H860th Bomber Squadron, 493rd Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Second Lieutenant and Navigator on the B-17 #44-6513 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on April 9, 1945, when his airplane was hit by an enemy flak and crashed near Munich, Germany. All men aboard were killed as a result of the crash.
2Lt Reisenburger is now buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupré, Belgium.
