Justus D. Henry, Jr. was born on January 26, 1919, in Trevose, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Justus D. Henry and Azalea L Gehringer Henry.

Justus served in the 359th Fighter Squadron, 356th Fighter Group, as a First Lieutenant and Fighter Pilot during World War II. He was Killed in Action on March 8, 1944, while piloting his P-47 #42-8467. He failed to pull out of a dive on a strafing run on Achmer airfield in Germany.

1Lt Henry's body was never found. His name is memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing, Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
