Harry Fritz Rideout was born on November 29, 1918. He served in the 360th Fighter Squadron, 356th Fighter Group, as a First Lieutenant and Pilot on the P-47 #42-25861 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 9, 1944. 1Lt Rideout was strafing a train with his squadron when they were attacked by FW 190s. He was hit and started home with two FW 190s chasing him. He was last contacted when he said they were attacking him again.

1Lt Rideout is now buried in the Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, USA.
