Frank Sheets was born in Detroit Michigan in 1921.
Technician 5 Frank Sheets who served in the 339th �Polar Bears� Infantry Regiment of the 85th �Custer� Infantry Division. Sheets was killed near this location on October 5, 1944 during the attack on Monte Bibele.
He was remembered by his friend and fellow Custerman Private First Class Rocco Telese with a plaque which was dedicated the plaque in April 2022 with the assistance of Gotica Toscana (WW2 History group with a museum in Ponzalla- Scarperia (FI).
