Clemens A. Fiedler was born on December 18, 1919, in Texas. He was the son of Bernhard and Margaret Fiedler.

Clemens served in the 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, as a First Lieutenant and Pilot of the P-51 Mustang #43-7190 during World War II.

On April 10, 1944, he took off from Station 356 in Debden, England, on a mission to attack the Romorantin airfield in France. Hit by flak in Chateaudun, he evacuated his plane by parachute. His airplane crashed at Soizé around 10:20 AM. Two days later, his body was found with his parachute unopened.

1Lt Fiedler is now buried in the Saint Mary Cemetery, Fredericksburg, Gillespie County, Texas, USA.
