Frank Stanton Latham, Jr. was born on July 2, 1891, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the son of Francis Stanton Latham and Jessie Gray Swayne Latham.
Frank Stanton, Jr. served in the US Air Service as a First Lieutenant during World War I. He was killed in an airplane accident on August 21, 1918, in Issoudance, France, and is now buried in the Elmwood Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, USA. 1Lt Latham was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
