Wilbur Eugene Moore was born on JULY 17, 1886, in Saint Augustine, Florida. He was the son of Levi W. Moore and Ella Eugenia Fearrand Moore.
Wilbur served in the 14th Company, 4th Motor Mechanics Regiment, as a Sergeant during World War I. He died of pneumonia on September 20, 1918, in Issoudun, France, and is now buried in the Saint Augustine National Cemetery, Saint Augustine, St. Johns County, Florida, USA. Sgt Moore was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
