George Stephen Reisz was born at Raynesford, Montana, on February 5, 1892, and until his enlistment, was a resident of Cascade county. He graduated from Great Falls high school, and before his enlistment in November 1917, he was assistant manager of the Ryan Mercantile company in his city.

George served in the US Air Service as a Pilot during World War I. He was killed in an airplane accident in Issoudun, France, on September 18, 1918, and is now buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Great Falls, Cascade County, Montana, USA.
