Edwin Booth Schreiber was born on January 22, 1892, in Z�rich, Switzerland. He was the son of Dr. H.W. Schreiber of Hopewell Junction, NY.

Edwin entered military service in New York. He served in the 3rd Aviation Instruction Center as a Second Lieutenant during World War I. He died on August 8, 1918, in Issoudun, France, and is now buried in the St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France. 2Lt Schreiber was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
