Rexford Shilliday was born on March 16, 1896. He served in the US Air Service during World War I. Cadet Shilliday was killed in an airplane accident in France on May 22, 1918, and is now buried in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, USA. He was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
