Hugo L. Stock was born on January 25, 1889, in Madison, Wisconsin. He was the son of John G Stock and Selma Alma Stock.
Hugo entered the service in Champaign, Illinois, on October 20, 1917. He served in the US Air Service Signal Reserve Corps as a Second Lieutenant during World War I. 2Lt Stock was killed in an airplane accident in Issoudun, France, on September 9, 1918, and is now buried in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA. He was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
