Joseph Sacco, Jr., of Queens County, New York, was born on March 22, 1915. He enlisted in the Army on May 5, 1941, and at the time of his death, was serving in the 51st Infantry Battalion, 4th Armored Division, as a Private First Class. He was killed in Pont-Scorff, France, on August 7, 1944, and is now buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, New York.
