Joseph A. Marino served as a Sergeant in Company A, 147th Engineer Combat Battalion, during World War II. He died on June 11, 1944, but his current burial place is unknown. His Brother, Leonard Marino was KIA on march 18, 1945 while serving with the 837th Bomber Squadron, 487th Bomber Group while on a mission to Berlin.
