Maurice John Marier was born on May 9, 1948, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Marier of Verdun, Quebec.
SP4 Marier arrived for duty in Vietnam on July 23, 1966, where he was assigned to and served with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 8th Inf, 4th Infantry Division, USAV. On February 16, 1967, SP4 Marier was killed in action during Operation Sam Houston in the Plei Trap Valley in Kontum Province.
