Edward Maldwyn Lindquist was born on January 1, 1920, in Denver, Denver County, Colorado. He was the son of Susannah Lewis Lindquist.

Edward served in the 597th Bomber Squadron, 397th Bomb Group, as a Second Lieutenant and Bombardier on the B-55-MA "Post War Plans" #42-96127 during World War II.

On June 24, 1944, his crew took off from Station 168 airfield in Rivenhall, England, with an assigned target of Maisons-La-Fitte Bridge, France. Hit by flak at about 1930hrs, their airplane went straight down the Avenue La Fountaine in Maisons-Lafitte. All members were killed in this incident.
