Donald H. Vincent was born on March 23, 1916, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Edgar W. Vincent and Victoria Vincent.

Donald served in the 831st Bomber Squadron, 485th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Second Lieutenant and Navigator on the B-24H #42-52709 "Gawgia Peach" during World War II.

On June 13, 1944, his crew took off from Venosa, Italy, to bomb the ordnance depot at Milbertshofen north of Munich, Germany. Shot down by German ME109s, their aircraft crashed near Sillertshausen at about 11:00 hrs. All members were able to parachute out of the plane. Unfortunately, 2Lt Vincent's parachute failed to open, causing his death.
