William E. Weisenmiller was born in 1922 in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland. He was the son of Ernest Sylvester Weisenmiller and Anna E. Wheeler Weisenmiller.

William enlisted in the Army on February 4, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. He served in the 333rd Infantry Regiment, 84th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was killed with other soldiers in an Army truck accident on October 22, 1945, in Hesperange, Luxembourg. PFC Weisenmiller is now buried in the Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg.
