Henry Sidney Farrar was born on May 17, 1920. He was the son of George Thomas Farrar and Agnes Lauvenia Thompson Farrar Earnest.
Prior to his enlistment, Henry was employed by the War Department. He served in the HQ Company of the 2nd Ranger Battalion, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944, at the age of 24, in Vierville-sur-Mer, during the American assault on Omaha beach in France. PFC Farrar is now buried in the Jenkinsburg City Cemetery, Jenkinsburg, Butts County, Georgia, USA.
