Dennis Forest Kimble was born on December 3, 1920. He was the son of Forrest M. Kimble and Coral Frazee Kimble.
Dennis had one year of high school, had a civil occupation as a General farmer, and was single without dependents upon enlistment. He entered military service in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 15, 1942. Dennis served in Company F, 2nd Ranger Battalion, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944, at the age of 23, at Pointe du Hoc, during the American assault on Omaha and Utah beaches in France. PFC Kimble is now buried in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, USA.
