Robert N. Lemin was born on May 11, 1910, in Broad Top City, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Mark Solomon Lemin and Elizabeth Jane Lavelle Lemin.
Robert had two years of high school, had a civil occupation in hotel and restaurant management, and was employed by the Kroger Company in Cleveland, Ohio. He entered military service in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 16, 1942. Robert served in the HQ Company of the 2nd Ranger Battalion, as a Master Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944, at the age of 34, in Vierville-sur-Mer, during the American assault on Omaha beach in France. MSgt Lemin is now buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
