Raoul Alerto Orozco Floripe was born on December 20, 1920, in San Jos�, Costa Rica. He was the son of J. D. Orozco and Rosario Floripe de Orozco, of Toledo, Ohio.

Raoul served in the #420 Snowy Owl Squadron (Pugnamus Finitum) of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Officer during World War II. He was killed on February 18, 1945, when his Halifax aircraft #NR 126 was returning from the target (Wesel, Germany) and was flying at 1,600 ft., when it crashed into a hillside ten miles southwest of Woole, Northumberland, England.
