Raoul Alerto Orozco Floripe was born on December 20, 1920, in San José, Costa Rica. He was the son of J. D. Orozco and Rosario Floripe de Orozco, of Toledo, Ohio.
Raoul served in the #420 Snowy Owl Squadron (Pugnamus Finitum) of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Officer during World War II. He was killed on February 18, 1945, when his Halifax aircraft #NR 126 was returning from the target (Wesel, Germany) and was flying at 1,600 ft., when it crashed into a hillside ten miles southwest of Woole, Northumberland, England.
