Leslie George Griffith, of Farmington, Michigan, was born on April 16, 1920, in Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Thornton Clifford Griffith and Elsie Maud Clark and was the husband of Tillie Lillian Trost.
Leslie served in the #426 Thunderbird Squadron (On Wings Of Fire) of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on November 1, 1944, when his Halifax Vll NP709, which took off at 17h44 from RAF Linton-on-Ouse, England, was shot down by flak.
