Ronald Hayes of Norfolk, Virginia, was the husband of Jeanne E. Hayes. He served in the 425 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Pilot Officer during World War II. He was declared Missing in Action on December 7, 1942, when his Wellington III BJ657, which took off at 16h59 from RAF Dishforth, England, failed to return from an operational flight over Manheim, Germany.
