Ronald served in Company G, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1944, during the Battle for Guam, and is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
