Lawrence Walter Allen was born on February 14, 1921. He was the son of Raleigh Walter Allen and Florence Bertha Oldham Allen. He served in HQ Company, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
