William Kilworthy Murray Love was born on October 16, 1918, in Dalmuir, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. He was the son of William F. and Elizabeth M. Love, of Cos Cob, Connecticut.
William enlisted in Toronto, Ontario, on July 20, 1942. He served in the 426 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. He was Killed in Action on February 16, 1944, when his Lancaster aircraft # DS 794 was shot down near Harderwijk, Holland, during a night trip to Berlin, Germany.
