Thomas Daniel McCann was born in 1919 in Massachusetts. He was the son of Daniel and Mary McCann, of Allston, Massachusetts.
Thomas served in the 466 (R.A.A.F.) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Sergeant during World War II. He was killed on August 31, 1943, with the rest of the 5-man crew when his Wellington bomber LN292 collided on take-off from RAF Leconfield with another aircraft (Wellington HZ531).
