Frank Goheen Nelson was born on April 15, 1918. He was the son of Frank Goheen Nelson and Frances C. Wilks Nelson of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania.
Frank served in the 9 (RAF) Squadron as a Warrant Officer of the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. He was Killed in Action on January 31, 1943, when his Lancaster aircraft #CD 481 was returning from a trip to Hamburg, Germany. The aircraft suffered engine failure and crashed at Hawngy Moor, Yorkshire.
