George Franklyn Nixon, of St. Clair, Michigan, served in the 57 (R.A.F.) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flying Officer during World War II. He was Killed in Action on January 3, 1944, when his Lancaster aircraft # JB 681 went missing during night operations against Berlin, Germany.
