                            Kenneth Mark Piche was born on January 24, 1922, in Lake Linden, Michigan. He was the adopted son of Alfred and Arlina Piche.
Kenneth Mark enlisted on March 19, 1941, in Windsor, Ontario. He served in the 15 (R.A.F.) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Pilot Officer during World War II. On April 16, 1943, his crew took off at 21h46 from RAF Mildenhall, England, on a mission to Mannheim, Germany. Shot down night fighter piloted by Helmut Bergmann of III/NJG4, 10 km northeast of Montcornet, their aircraft crashed at St-Erme-Outre-et-Remecourt, 15 km southeast of Laon. All eight crew members were killed in this incident.
