Wilbert George Reid was the son of Wilbert C. and Christina C. Reid, of Flint, Michigan. He served in the #20 Operational Training Unit of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant during World War II. He was declared Missing in Action on April 1, 1942, when his Wellington aircraft # R 1760 lost a propellor and crashed into the sea one mile south of Peterhead in Cruden Bay, Scotland.
