Charles Lemuel Barker was born on May 5, 1919. He was the son of Lemuel C. "Lem" Barker and Allie M. Barker.
He served in Company D, 2nd Battalion, 19th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 29, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
