Freeman Nelson Bousman was born on October 25, 1915, in Centerville, Wayne County, Indiana. He was the son of Francis Freeman "Frank" Bousman and Inez Leona Chamberlain Bousman Isenhour. He was married to Wanda Vance Bousman and Pauline Fratellio Bousman Klauser.
He served in Company A, 1st Armored Amphibian Battalion, United States Marine Corps as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
