Hector Howard Brooks was born on October 26, 1925, in Lampasas County, Texas. He was the son of William Warren Brooks and Beulah Ellen Sisson Brooks.
He served in Company F, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
